Liz Taylor (RIP) is the only woman who could be divorced 7 times and still be knighted by a holy order.  If that doesn’t tell you something about the power of a woman’s charm, then this blog can’t help you.  Charm was something that this woman had mastered over 70 years of exposure to Hollywood glamor.  Becoming a star by the time she was a teenager, one of the first teen high rollers in America, she rose to claim a coveted contract with MGM earning 100$ a week.  Add that up from inflation, and if you compare that to today’s artists, she earned close to Miley Cyrus at age 15.  She was cooler than me before puberty had finished.

Considered one of the great actresses of Hollywood’s Golden Age, her talent matched the elegance by which she was defined in her role as Cleopatra.  Taylor was known to shoot entire scenes in one take, an unheard of talent among many modern actors.  Her acclaim was second only to the grace she bestowed upon impoverished communities, raising 50$ Million dollars in 1999 through her self-run organization to fight AIDs, and granting a sum of her Foundation’s earnings to Hurricane Katrina victims.

Not too bad for a babe who bought her self a ticket to Hades seven times.
